More about The Green
Built in the late 17th century and situated in the pretty village of Glaisdale in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, 'The Green' used to be the village post office. Now, it is a beautiful 3 bedroomed cottage with a village shop and great butchers within a couple of minutes walk and a pub around 15 minutes walk down the hill.
This centrally heated cottage has a well equipped kitchen, separate lounge and dining rooms and plenty of space for boots and coats. There are two King size bedrooms and one double bedroom. One of the bedrooms on the first floor is a king-sized room and so is the bedroom in the attic. One room has an en suite toilet and basin, the other is opposite the family bathroom (which has bath and shower) and there is a newly installed wet room shower with toilet downstairs.
The large lounge looks out to the village green and the spacious dining room adjoins the kitchen and opens out through French windows to the garden where there is a BBQ and alfresco table and chairs.
It is an ideal base for many holiday activities such as cycling, hiking, surfing, shopping and sightseeing. The cottage is within easy reach of Whitby for nights out, but is still peaceful enough to feel like a secluded break-away. Also at the cottage there is an abundance of amenities to help you appreciate the surroundings and still have the feelings of home.
We do offer guests the use of free wi-fi facilities.
