More about Runswick Bay Caravan & Camping Park
The picture-postcard pretty coastal village of Runswick Bay is full of old world charm with its lovely quaint cottages and a warren of alleyways to explore. The bay sweeps round with its sandy, golden beach, giving ideal play opportunities for sandcastle building, beach-combing, fossil hunting, rock pooling and a lovely tidal walk for all to enjoy. Runswick Bay is a real haven for artists and photographers too. This former fishing village is completely unspoilt and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The family owned Runswick Bay Caravanning & Camping Park is close to the village and is only 6 miles from the historic seaside resort of Whitby. The owners pride themselves on their customer service and on helping to make your stay a happy and memorable one.
Caravanning & Camping: The Park has 32 pitches with electric hook-ups (some have hard standing). A large tenting area is surrounded by trees, giving privacy and protection from the wind.
Glamping: The glamping season runs from Easter until 1 October. Why not try one of the fabulous glamping tents? Choose from either ‘Shabby Chic’ or ‘Nautical’. Both tents have a wrought iron double bed with down bedding. Single Futon beds are available for up to two children. The luxurious ‘Emperor’ Tent really does have it all! Carrying all the facilities of the other two bell tents, it has larger floor space and standing height. All bell tents have electricity supply. Making glamping ‘home-from-home’ there’s a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities, a full set of dinner-ware (for a family of 4), with cutlery, cooking pan and pot - and you don’t even need to pack the salt & pepper! For chilly early mornings or cool evenings there’s an electric stove heater to warm things up a little. In the evenings light the fire pit (comes with one night’s supply of kindling), strike up the barbeque and make use of the great outdoors. A picnic table is available on each glamping pitch.
Glamping with DOGS: The Nautical bell tent is reserved for people who may have allergies. Small dogs are allowed within the Shabby Chic tent and larger dogs (e.g. spaniels – non-moulting breeds) are £5 surplus for the Emperor Bell Tent.
Holiday Homes – All 24 holiday homes on the Park are currently owner occupied. Occasionally they may come up for sale. If you’re looking to buy a Holiday Home on the Park, please check the website to see what’s available, or call 01947 840997.
NEW Holiday Lodge Homes – only 3 plots left on the new private luxury Holiday Lodge Park development at The Pines at Runswick Bay (13 x Holiday Lodges in total at the Park) which are currently being built within an exclusive, gated area, surrounded by well-manicured gardens with private driveways, decking and exclusive hot tubs.
