Church Street car park

You can find the long stay Church Street car park at YO22 4AS at the top of West Cliff and over looking the bay. It’s just a 5 minute walk from there, making it ideal for parking in Whitby town centre. Parking charges apply between 9am and 6pm all year:

  • £2 for 1 hour
  • £4 for 3 hours
  • £7 for 6 hours
  • £9 for 24 hours

Abbey Headland car park

If you’re heading straight for the Abbey, this is the car park for you. You’ll find it on Abbey Lane, YO22 4JT.

Abbey Headland long stay car park has space for 415 cars and 10 coaches, and has a number of disabled parking bays. There are toilet facilities and CCTV in operation here, and when all the tarmac spaces are full, there’s a grass overflow option.

Coaches can park for 24 hours for £10, car prices are as follows:

  • £2 for 1 hour
  • £3 for 2 hours
  • £7 for 6 hours
  • £9 for 24 hours

Endeavour Wharf car park

As the name might suggest, the long stay Endeavour Wharf car park is located next to the water right in the middle of the town. You’ll find it on Langbourne Road, YO21 1YN. From time to time this car park may be closed for operational reasons and it does have seasonal opening hours.

Charges are in operation between 9am and 6pm:

  • £3 for 2 hours
  • £5 for 4 hours
  • £7 for 6 hours
  • £9 for 24 hours

There are no designated disabled parking spots in this car park.

Marina Back car park

As it’s such a popular spot for parking in Whitby town centre, you’ll also find Marina Back car park on Langbourne Road, YO21 1YN. This long stay has space for 232 cars and 8 coaches, so you’re always likely to find a spot here.

To park a car, it’ll cost you:

  • £3 for 2 hours
  • £5 for 4 hours
  • £7 for 6 hours
  • £9 for 24 hours
  • Coaches can park for up to 24 hours for £15

Cliff Street car park

You’ll find Cliff Street car park at YO21 3DD set back from the main tourist roads but within easy walking distance of them. This is a short stay car park, with a maximum time limit of 6 hours between 9am and 6pm. You can pay:

  • £3.60 for 3 hours
  • £4.60 for 4 hours

There’s parking for 20 cars in St Hilda’s Terrace long stay car park, not far from Pannett Park and the centre of town. You’ll find the spaces on Back St Hilda’s Terrance, YO21 3AE and can pay to park for up to 24 hours.

  • £2.60 for 2 hours
  • £3.60 for 3 hours
  • £4.60 for 4 hours
  • £5.60 for 6 hours

West Cliff car park

You’ll find west Cliff car park on Pavillion Drive, YO21 3EG overlooking the dramatic Yorkshire coastline. It can accommodate 424 cars and 11 coaches for long stays and has disabled parking bays.

Parking charges are in operation 9am – 6pm in high season (1st March – 31st October) at the following prices:

  • £2 for 1 hour
  • £3 for 2 hours
  • £7 for 6 hours
  • £9 for 24 hours
  • Coaches have a flat rate of £10 for 24 hours

Pavilion Top car park

To find the Pavilion Top car park, head up to North Terrace, YO21 3EN. It has 63 long stay spaces for cars plus CCTV, but there are no disabled bays available here and it’ll take you between 10 and 15 minutes to get from your car into town.

To park in Pavilion Top, it’ll cost:

  • £2 for 1 hour
  • £3 for 2 hours
  • £7 for 6 hours
  • £9 for 24 hours

There are some great options for parking in Whitby town centre. If you’re staying over in Whitby, make sure to ask your accommodation provider what the parking options are too. It’s likely they’ll have permits to allow guests to park closer to the hotel, B&B or guest house than the car parks listed here.
