The 107th Annual Show will be held at the Showfield behind the Village Hall, Church Houses, Farndale, Kirkbymoorside and opens at 10am to the public. Various events include Gymkhana, Show Jumping, Children’s Sports, Dog Classes and much more.

Held at Sutton Bank National Park Centre. Come along and learn about ‘all things feathered’ – all the different types of birds that inhabit the North York Moors National Park. Enjoy the quiz trail and discover many amazing facts. Bird drawing demonstrations and (bookable) kite making demonstrations and face painting. Fascinating display of Birds (Sion Hill Hall Birds of Prey & Conservation Centre).

The 125th Annual Egton Horse & Agricultural Show will be held in Egton. 2014 will see a Wrought Iron and Farrier Display, Farmers Market and many other exhibitions such as fur & feather, ferrets, cattle, goats, sheep, horses (of course) plus bee keeping and handicrafts and produce stalls, plus sections for children. The Show opens at 8.30am with the very first event of judging in the main ring at 8.45am. Lots to see and do throughout the day.

Held at Sutton Bank National Park Centre (11am – 4pm). Come along and be inspired by the North York Moors National Park. Watch, create and listen to tales by our storyteller and see Peter Reynolds (local artist) at work. Join a poetry walk or embark on a self-led trail around the grounds of the National Park Centre and gather up inspiration for your very own rhyme and art. Craft sessions (bookable) are inspirational and help to make and create your own masterpiece out of natural materials.

Another annual popular calendar event for Whitby – the famous Folk Weekend – an extremely popular dance and music event as Morris Dancers perform their English traditional dances which all adds to the wonderful atmosphere of this popular week. Local pubs will be filled with lots of live entertainment. Huge guest link of singers, bands and dancers.
This annual Show was founded back in 1871. Lots to see and do – something for all ages. Come along and enjoy viewing the vintage tractors, scarecrows, pigeons & poultry, rabbits & cavies, cattle, goats, horses (including hunters, heavy horses and ponies), flowers, fruit and vegetables – and much more.
This will be the 133rd traditional Village Show, which will again be held at the Sports Field in Sleights. Come along and join us for a fun filled day with brass band music, colourful displays of flowers and vegetables (children’s classes included), handicrafts and photography etc. Great variety of stalls, dog show, home-made teas and children’s sports – something for all ages to enjoy. Enjoy our special extra Friday evening trains – Esk Valley’s Whitby to Middlesbrough service, which call at all stations down the line. You can stop off at any Station for a meal and drink, or simply just enjoy the whole journe, relaxing to the live music played by local bands whilst experiencing fine real ales and socialising. The 154th Danby Show takes place at Danby Showground. This is the oldest agricultural show in the area and attracts around 6,000 visitors each year. Come along and enjoy farm machinery and displays including vintage tractors, sheep dog trials, competitive classes, local crafts, horse and pony classes and much more. A great day out for all the family!
