More about Lavinia House B&B
Lavinia House is a rather beautiful and elegant Victorian townhouse dating back to around 1850, which sits above Whitby's Khyber Pass, and overlooking the harbour and its two piers with their lighthouses. Lavinia House has been carefully refurbished, yet retains many of the original features and all of its charm, and is furnished to a very high standard to provide bed and breakfast accommodation of equally high quality.
Its location, close to Whitby harbour, makes it ideal for all the attractions of Whitby - the cafés, the restaurants, the galleries and museums, the shops and boutiques, and the Abbey bestriding the headland on the town's east side.
Lavinia House has 7 en suite double bedrooms (some with 4-poster beds). All are individually decorated.
The dining room is light and airy, and a pleasure to eat in, with a good range of options available to suit all appetites, including a full English breakfast. For those wanting something a little lighter there are scrambled or poached eggs, or baked beans on toast, cereals, fruit, and toast with preserves.
