The Leeway is a relaxed, informal bolthole just a few minute walk away from Whitby harbour, seafront, shops and restaurants.  Our own special brand of friendly smiling and unstuffy service will help make your stay a memorable one.

Set in a classic Victorian Terrace House, The Leeway is decorated and furnished in a contemporary style without a hint of chintz. 

All our rooms are individually decorated using designer wall coverings and furnishings, and all are equipped with free WI-FI, TV/DVD/CD players, DAB radio alarm clocks with IPod docking stations, hairdryers, multi drink making machine, luxurious toiletries, fluffy towels, bathrobes, magazines and fresh flowers.  Our Superior rooms have gloriously comfortable beds with memory foam mattresses.  All the en-suites and private bathroom are fully tiled with powerful showers.

On arrival you will be greeted with a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of home made cake, to get your stay off to a great start.

Our Breakfasts are to the same high standard as our rooms.  You are assured of a truly Yorkshire Breakfast, as our ingredients are locally sourced and of the highest quality, and to finish off there is our own home made lemon curd.  Of course there is always a lighter option of smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, or just a bacon bap and we cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free diets etc.

We have recently joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme, so in your room you will find an information pack with places of interest to visit whilst you are in Whitby, (without using your car – saving on your carbon footprint) and we have added some local Whitby walks too, to help work off that large breakfast!

If you are here to celebrate something special, we can arrange for a bottle of chilled champagne, a hand tied bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates to be in your room on arrival and we can arrange dinner reservations at local restaurants.  Just let us know.

There is ample free and unrestricted street parking on the whole of the West Cliff.
