The Ebor Jetworks located on Church Street in the famous and popular resort of Whitby, North Yorkshire uses Britain’s oldest gem stone, Whitby Jet, creating inspirational and contemporary jewellery.
Sarah Steele, proprietor of the Ebor Jetworks on Church Street in Whitby (street below the famous Whitby Abbey and one of Whitby’s finest shopping streets) has gained world-wide following for the traditional techniques she uses in creating inspirational gold and silver hand-made jewellery.
Sarah’s unique, stunning designs showcase Britain’s rarest gemstone to its very best. She collects all her jet on the beaches around Whitby. As it’s so light in weight, it washes in with the tide. There are definitive qualities to look out for though, when sourcing jet and Sarah only uses the best of quality and works it to a high and beautiful polish. She also combines the jet with other, unusual British gem stones such as Derbyshire Blue John, Cornish Serpentine and Malachite.
Sarah’s Whitby Jet Jewellery is available in the following forms: bangles and bracelets, pendants, earrings, cufflinks, Amber & Whitby Jet, exclusive gifts and much more.
Every piece of jewellery created is hand-crafted and is made at the Jetworks premises in Church Street (on Whitby’s charming and historic East Side).
