Bell Island Cottages are two splendid grade II listed cottages. Bell Island Cottage and Laverick Steps are both located on Church Street, just moments from the town centre, lovely blue flag beach and the famous whalebone arch on West Cliff.
Bell Island Cottage is a three storey property which comprises an open plan living area complete with a fully equipped fitted kitchen with an electric oven, microwave and fridge freezer, a dining area which is home to a solid oak dining table and four chairs and a seating area complete with comfortable leather sofas and flat screen colour TV. There is a house bathroom on the ground floor with spacious shower unit. There's a double bedroom on the second floor and a twin bedroom located on the third floor.
Laverick Steps is a three storey one bedroom cottage bursting with character and charm. The property comprises an open plan kitchen diner complete with a fully fitted kitchen, dining area and two armchairs and a colour TV. To the second floor there is the spacious house bathroom with a huge 'P' shaped bath, making it ideal for relaxing after a hard day's exploring. Up on the third floor there is the double bedroom which is light and airy and is just perfect for sitting at the window stools and watching the activities on the water with the boats coming and going. You might even catch a glimpse of the steam train pulling into the station.
Please note: Laverack Steps is unsuitable for visitors who have mobility problems.
The cottages are situated on Whitby's charming east side and boast stunning views of the Marina and the River Esk. The cottages are only minutes away from the famous 199 steps leading up to the Church of St Mary and the famous Abbey ruins. Just a short stroll away is the town centre of Whitby, brimming with quaint cobbled narrow streets, packed with a vast selection of specialist shops, museums and eateries - all just waiting for you to explore.
Bell Island Cottage and Laverick Steps are the perfect base for exploring the local area. Take a trip out to explore the North York Moors with its stunning scenery and quaint moorland villages. Why not go and discover the pretty coastal villages, including Robin Hood’s Bay which is steeped in history of smuggling.
